He has also been a Language Rights Fellow at Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA) where he was “responsible for advocating the development and promotion of the indigenous languages of Southern Africa, including Sign Language.”
Among his publications are Language Rights in Southern Africa (2016), The Language of Instruction Question in Malawi (ed) (2015) and A Grammar of Cingoni-Nsenga: A Central Bantu Language Spoken in Zambia (Berkeley Models of Grammars) (2003).
